Head of Department CTO – Real Estate Structured Finance (w⁠/⁠m⁠/⁠d) For the continuous optimization of our IT landscape in the real estate structured finance sector, we are looking for a strategically thinking, convincing leader who actively shapes change and takes responsibility. In this key role, you will be responsible, together with your department, for the further development and stable operation of central IT applications around loans, business partners and risk management. You combine technical and technical requirements for sustainable solutions and create sustainable added value for Aareal Bank Group. In this responsible position you conduct a department of developers, business analysts and solution architects – both professionally and disciplinary. Together with your management team, you will ensure the lifecycle management, architectural development and process control of the supervised applications – from technical requirement analysis to stable production. You develop a clear vision for your application landscape and consistently translate technological and technical changes into a strategic development. Throughout the field, you advance cooperation in the sense of an end-to-end DevOps approach and establish a common understanding of architecture. Technological trends such as SAP S/4HANA, cloud integration, API architectures or modern integration approaches will help you evaluate and guide concrete action recommendations for your team and the bank. You actively promote the standardization and harmonisation of interfaces, processes and data models. You will prepare complex issues in a sovereign and targeted manner – including for senior management and relevant stakeholders. You strategically manage your department and your customers for AI

Successfully completed studies of computer science, business informatics, business management or a comparable qualification. Long-term professional experience in the IT or banking environment, including multiannual leadership (scientific and discipline). Found experience in managing complex IT projects, ideally focusing on standardization, platform strategies or architectural modernization. Ideally, experience with Loan, Risk or Partner Management systems in the banking or financial environment. Solid expertise in business analysis, requirement management and process design. Embossed communication and moderation capability, paired with decision strength and willingness to change.
