Number: MER00044IR In the RD/MIT department, we are responsible for the development of air conditioning systems for all Mercedes-Benz Cars series and are leading in the fields of thermal comfort, air quality and efficiency. The strategic change towards electromobility opens up new opportunities and exciting challenges to our area, especially in terms of efficiency and system design. As part of the “Software & Functional Development” team, you develop and test model-based software algorithms for future vehicle generations and ensure their serial capability. These challenges include: As part of your internship, you are in the middle of it. You will be intensively incorporated and take an important interface function:. Prototype & Integration Management: You take a prototype on your own, support colleagues in the integration and testing of their software and carry out backups independently Functional development: You develop control algorithms and prototypical software to realize customer-readable functions taking into account global requirements Innovation: You are driving forward-looking topics such as state recognition with artificial intelligence (AI) Testing & Backup: You carry out software-in-the-loop tests (SIL) as well as measurements and secure the functions within global testing The activity can begin from August 2026.

Successfully completed Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Cybernetics, Mechatronics, Mathematics, Technical Informatics or a comparable qualification Knowledge of GIT and JIRA/Confluence Safe handling of MS Office An analytical way of thinking, a strategic way of working and a high degree of commitment and team capacity are the key German and English knowledge in word and writing Additional information: We are looking forward to your online application with CV, lettering, certificates, current enrollment certificate with a specification of the semester, if necessary.
