THE WORK As part of this master thesis, a test platform for the degree of maturity protection of automotive radar sensors in the field of Active Safety & Automation is to be put into operation and further developed. The aim is to design a flexible and automated test platform that enables early validation of radar control devices during development.

To this end, suitable methods for stimulating, connecting and monitoring real radar hardware are to be investigated, implemented and evaluated with regard to their suitability. In addition to the construction of a residual bus simulation and user interface in Vector CANoe and the integration of a hardware control via USB relay cards, different approaches for feeding, generation, processing and evaluation of radar-relevant test data are to be investigated.

A special focus is on the development of reproducible test methods as well as the scientific evaluation of the test platform with regard to the degree of automation, expandability, test coverage and the significance of the test results. Modern data-driven methods, for example from the field of artificial intelligence, can optionally be investigated with regard to their potential for automated test case generation or error analysis.
