IT Infrastructure Architect with a focus on Virtualization & Security (m/f/d)

In the Cloud Management Office, we are responsible for the overarching cloud architecture and provide the basis for all IT teams being able to work safely, standardised and efficiently in the cloud. These include the development and maintenance of binding architecture guidelines, the definition of deployment standards and the evaluation and release of new cloud technologies. Our focus is on highly regulated environments where security, compliance and traceability are not optional requirements, but are the basis of any architecture decision. Together with the specialist teams, we ensure that virtualization and cloud platforms are reliably operated, continuously developed and adapted to regulatory environments. You design, develop and evaluate complex IT infrastructures in highly regulated environments. You are responsible for architecture planning with a focus on highly available and scalable virtualization and cloud platforms (primary VMware, plus OpenStack). You ensure compliance and security requirements (e.g. ISO 27001, BSI, regulatory requirements). You create technical concepts, architectural blueprints and documentation. You evaluate new technologies and guide action recommendations. You support audits, risk analyses, architectural releases, error analyses and optimizations. You represent architectural decisions against enterprise architects and CIO stakeholders and actively shape strategic guidelines.

completed studies of (economic) informatics, information technology or a comparable course of studies - alternatively an equivalent qualification through relevant professional experience and further training in the field of IT architecture Deep experience in virtualization technologies, especially with VMware (vSphere, NSX, vSAN), ideally complemented by knowledge in OpenStack Understanding network, storage and compute architectures Ideally experience in the integration of Microsoft infrastructures (Windows Server, Active Directory, GPOs) in virtualized environments as well as a good understanding of their interaction within secure and highly available architectures Experience in dealing with regulatory requirements (banks, insurance, energy, authorities, etc.) Experiences with cloud architectures (Azure, Private Cloud) are desirable.
