Volume: Full time Period: up to 15.08.2028 Remuneration: TV-L EC 9a Start: next time With about 130 employees, kiz is the second largest central institution of the University of Ulm and provides services in the areas of library, information technology and media for research, teaching, study and administration. The Infrastructure department is responsible for the entire network infrastructure, the provision of IT basic equipment, a high-performance computing cluster, and for other system-related services that a modern IT center provides.

Implementation of the concept for operating the integrated Windows systems (e.g. Active Directory, File Services, Print Services, Update Management, Software Distribution) as well as modernisation and extension of the underlying system architecture for services available throughout the university Administration of Windows servers, Windows clients, incl. user and object management in the directory service Active Directory Participation in developing a concept for the university-wide expansion of desktop computing Managed Desktop Computing, including the selection, procurement, installation and configuration of PC hardware, testing, installing and releasing updates and security patches as well as remote software distribution and software installation 2nd Level Support Implementation of software distribution and software installation using the desktop management software used

Completed vocational training as a specialist informant Detailed knowledge about Windows operating systems Experience in dealing with desktop management software Basic knowledge of virtualization solutions Very good knowledge of German in word and writing Communication and team skills as well as responsible and cooperative functioning Detailed knowledge of Windows Server and Active Directory Experience in script languages desirable
