The Landratsamt Starnberg is the central administrative authority of the district of Starnberg. With our around 600 employees, we take care of many things that are important for the high quality of life in our district: education, culture, environmental protection and help for people who need support. The team Wasserrecht is one of the two pillars of the Water Law division, Immission Protection. Our mission is to protect the waters in the county – lakes, rivers and groundwater. These are not only the basis of human life and habitat for numerous animals and plants, but are also used for a variety of leisure and sports activities.

With your interest in environmental law, you take care of the responsible handling of the waters in the county and make a significant contribution that You remain alive and healthy in the future. Your specific tasks include: You shall be responsible for the implementation of water laws and shall process applications for authorisations of plants in and on the waters, as well as funerals of aquatic buildings (e.g. shore restorations or production of water) The areas of water use (e.g. the promotion of drinking water for public water supply or waste water disposal) are handled independently You are responsible for burials and arrangements relating to water-prone substances and are in this context also ready for use outside the usual working hours for the protection of water When adopting legislation (e.g. setting water protection areas or flooding areas), you prove your organisational skills You actively participate in the entertainment of the waters and regulate the legal transfer of the amusement burdens

(m/w/d) of the 3rd level of qualification, management and finance, or administrative specialist (m/w/d) (audit II) or acquiring the corresponding degree in 2026; alternatively: completed study of law (first or second legal state examination) or study Bachelor of Laws
