Your future job: For our renowned customer HENSOLDT at the Oberkochen site, you are a software developer (m/w/d) in the Ground and Naval Application area. HENSOLDT is a leading global provider of premium sensors for safety, and monitoring missions. The company is strongly represented in the markets for radars, optronics and electronic protection systems and among other things world market leaders in missile warning systems and submarine periskopen.

Your tasks:

• Development and extension of C++ modules within the Unreal Engine and adjacent simulation software
• Implementation and integration of interface emulators and tools to support simulation solutions
• Performance analysis, profiling and optimization of existing software components
• Participation in the automation of build processes, testing and continuous integration / continuous deployment (CI/CD) on Windows and Linux platforms
• Cooperation in the interdisciplinary team to further develop innovative simulation solutions
• Documentation of software and compliance with development processes
• Support in the containerization and deployment of software components in virtualized environments

Your profile:

• Complete study of the fields of computer science, software development or a comparable qualification
• Professional experience in the development of blueprints and the Unreal Engine, ideally with multiplayer programming
• Experience with agile development methods
• Experience with ffmpeg or comparable multimedia frameworks of advantage
• Very good programming knowledge (at least C++17, multithreading applications)
• Knowledge of performance optimization, profiling and debugging of Unreal Engine applications
• Secure handling of build systems, CI/CD pipelines, automated testing and containerization (e.g. Docker) on Windows and Linux
• German and English knowledge in word and writing
