Südbayerische Fleischwaren GmbH is headquartered in Ingolstadt and operates three modern meat works in Traunstein, Obertraubling and Ingolstadt, alongside the Birkenhof Fleischwerk in Donauwörth. The company emerged from a merger of the Donauland-Fleischwerke with the Chiemgau meat and sausage products and is a 100% subsidiary of the EDEKA Südbayern. With around 460 qualified employees, the production plant is one of the major employers in the region and produces numerous regional meat and about 250 sausage varieties - from high-quality raw materials that the Südbayerischen Fleischwaren GmbH refers to from selected regional suppliers.
