As part of this master thesis, you have the opportunity to immerse yourself in the world of Building Information Modeling (BIM) and contribute significantly to the optimization of as-built models. Your focus is on the analysis of major projects in the field of BIM, especially with regard to the accuracy and deviations achieved by as-built models. You will examine the relevant standards in Germany, Austria and Switzerland and develop their requirements for measurement performance. The aim is to create a practical guide that precisely defines the accuracy required and the level of Accuracy (LoA). The output of your work includes a comprehensive guideline and a component catalog based on the IFC4 standard, which allows a clear presentation of the LoA for as-built models, creating a valuable best practice foundation for the industry. The focal points can be individually adapted in consultation with the work station or with the necessary steps. This thesis can be completed in combination with a working student activity or with a (preliminary) practice. This allows you to translate your theoretical knowledge directly into practice, actively collaborate on exciting projects and at the same time expand your network!
