Research Assistant Systems Analysis in the field of Alternative Powertrain Technologies (m/f/d)
At our innovative chair we develop current know-how in the field of electrical mobility components. As part of our national and international industrial and research projects, we also provide excellent presentation skills in addition to project management. Hands-on mentality can be developed with us through practical tasks in one of our two machine halls with the most modern infrastructure. True to our motto “PEM – Science for E-Mobility Production”, we combine eight research groups in three areas. We continuously develop the production processes of electric vehicles and their components (battery, electric motor and fuel cell). Research group “Alternative Powertrain Technologies” (APT) The research group “Alternative Powertrain Technologies” at the chair PEM deals with the development, integration and operation of alternative drive systems. Their research focus includes a wide range of technology from batteries, fuel cells and electric motors to hydrogen tanks and auxiliary units at component level. In addition to researching innovative electrification concepts for mobile and stationary applications, the team is also engaged in industrial and consulting projects. The aim is to quickly translate new research results into practice and to support industry in implementing alternative drivetrain solutions. The environment Our versatile and demanding topics enable close cooperation with leading and skilled OEMs, automotive suppliers, machine and plant manufacturers, startups and other well-known industrial partners. The creative design of your tasks is an important part of your personal development, which is particularly evident in the development of your doctoral project. Here you can explore a current trend topic, such as agile factory planning. Your doctorate thus specifically complements your previous activities. The combination of methodological work with the view for the large whole and “technical depth drilling” offers our employees a unique environment for personal and professional development The RWTH is certified as a family-friendly university. RWTH offers a variety of health, counselling and prevention services (e.g. university sports) as part of a university health management. There is a wide range of training and the possibility of obtaining a job ticket for employees and civil servants. .
