Trainee Program for Operations Manager - Region Thuringia/Saxony (m/f/d)

In 18 months, we train you on the job, in various stores, including abroad, and with excellent trainings, so you can become the manager in one of our stores. With this you have all the possibilities for a career at an internationally successful wholesaler.

The trainee program sales at a glance: 1-2 months of incorporation in one of our major markets: During this phase you will get to know all departments and processes of our stores 2 months of activity as Head of Division: Here you have the chance to try in a leadership position. You also dive deeper into the processes within a specific product group 2 months central phase in Düsseldorf: You can get to know our central departments, such as shopping, and build a valuable network. You will also be involved in the project work 1 month abroad: You can optionally get to know METRO from another side and experience something from the international flair. Depending on your language skills, you can choose a country 12 months of incorporation to the manager: You closely accompany the business and business leaders of several stores to get to know different leadership styles and priorities. So you will be optimally prepared to take over your own operating manager position Target position Operating manager: Our large stores, the classic markets, usually have a business manager responsible for the overall development of the store and a business manager. Both are operatively responsible for different goods. As a company manager, you are a manager and bears the economic responsibility for about half of the range in one of our markets

A successfully completed study/university course of business administration or a comparable study programme experience in trade, for example by training as a merchant in retail or wholesale, or by-vocational activities during studies A high degree of flexibility and mobility, as you will run various stations within the region during the program Especially joy in personal handling of customers from the gastronomy For fun trading in our stores and a passion for food Analytical competencies, a high number affinity and very good German skills (C1) complete your profile
