The group “Jugendhilfe Schapen – Wohngruppe Salam – Haus des Friedens” is located on the eastern outskirts of Braunschweig in Schapen. A team of educators (m/w/d), social pedagogues (m/w/d) as well as domestic workers (m/w/d) care about the well-being of young people between 12 and 17 years. A total of nine places are designed for long-term accommodation, two places are available for short-term care. The tasks are: Organisational, human and structural responsibility for a stationary youth assistance institution according to § 34 SGB VIII and, where appropriate, § 35a SGB VIII Leading, accompanying and developing a young and multi-professional team of professionals Ensuring compliance with the statutory provisions and the holistic and need-oriented support and support of children and young people Cooperation with authorities, institutions, internal and external partners and network work Responsibility for compliance with statutory provisions, hygiene regulations and the safety and well-being of children and young people readiness to call in exchange with other management forces Financial management and budget planning

A completed study of social education/social work, pedagogy, education, special education or psychology (diploma, Bachelor, Master or Magister) or comparable pedagogical qualification e.g. B.: Health education (m/w/d) relevant professional and management experience desirable Very good knowledge of legal provisions and quality standards in child and youth assistance Empathy and sensitivity in dealing with stressed / traumatized children and young people and their individual needs High resilience, flexibility and enforcement capability as well as the ability to cope with constructive conflict Very good computer skills
