About us Working in the Pfeffermühle Wirtshaus 1974 – Tradition meets Modernity The Pfeffermühle Wirtshaus 1974 is a traditional inn in the heart of Gengenbach in the Black Forest. For more than 50 years we have been standing for real hospitality, craftsmanship and high quality standards – firmly rooted in the Baden tradition and at the same time open to modern influences. Our cuisine combines regional Baden classics with southern and Asian flavors. We consciously buy regionally and interpret the Baden cuisine as contemporary, creative and with great attention to detail. Quality, freshness and honest crafts are always at the centre of our work. Our host house offers: 100 indoor seating, distributed in three lovingly designed rooms Guest room (60 seats) Anno 1476 Stube (32 places) Nightwatches (8 places) 65 seats on our terrace in the summer months In addition to the classic restaurant business, we operate a catering company on restaurant level for events up to 300 people with their own equipment. In addition, we currently run two canteens and offer a professional canteen service.
