As a database engineer, you operate our hybrid database infrastructures (Cloud & On-Prem) and ensure their stability, performance and security. You install, patch and manage database systems like PostgreSQL, MS SQL Server, Oracle and more. You will also take care of the storage technologies used for our Cloud Data Platform, such as Azure Blob Storage and Snowflake. You can continuously find ways to support our applications through the database landscape, from conception to end of life. Together with developers:inside, data architects:inside, application managers and security experts, you are confident that our databases will be operated in a powerful, safe and sustainable manner. To do this, you develop and care for monitoring and backup concepts, automate routine tasks and implement and monitor security measures to protect sensitive data. The design of an active development of our data strategy completes your task profile. To meet the requirements of our customers, you will bring your ideas with you.

You have completed your studies in computer science, business informatics or a comparable subject or have a technical training with corresponding professional experience. In the operation and administration of relational databases, you have already gained several years of practical experience. You can gain both experience in the cloud-based and on-premises environment and ideally in the enterprise environment. Very good SQL skills, ideally safe handling of PowerShell, Batch and VBS script languages, as well as experience with cloud platforms, preferably Microsoft Azure, characterize your skills. You also have experiences with NoSQL databases and knowledge in at least one programming language such as Python, Go, Java or C++. In addition, you have a good know-how in the areas of backup, restore, high availability, monitoring and IT security as well as a solid understanding of IT infrastructures (networks, server operation, virtualization). Team spirit, an independent, structured and solution-oriented way of working and the will to continuously improve existing systems, characterize your personality. You are ready to participate in a willingness to give support to urgent technical problems outside regular working hours. Very good German knowledge (min.
