Forward Sourcing Manager (m/f/d)

As a Forward Sourcing Manager within the Global Procurement Organisation, you are responsible for ensuring the Procurement activities for new products (innovations, material costs, time-to-market). You introduce the procurement expertise from the early stage of product development to the end-of-life and implement the implementation of global category strategies within product development. You take on the technical responsibility for the Forward Sourcing approach in defined product groups and/or take over the professional management of Forward Sourcing processes (key users)

You are responsible for carrying out Forward Sourcing tasks from the preliminary study to the End of Life, including: Cost assessment, cost control, cost optimization in R&D projects and changes

Coordination and implementation of inquiries including Debates

Supplier Awarding with the involvement of Category Management and consideration of the material group strategy

Planning, coordination and optimization of procurement time planning

Early integration of suppliers to coordinate requirements and use of their innovation potential

Implementation of make-or-buy analyses, platform concepts and standardizations

project documentation according to CS (e.g. SCM (FS) concept; Suppliers Risk analysis

Maintenance of article-related master data in the ERP system

Inquiries of required material compliance certificates

You are responsible for the implementation of the start-up mangement in cooperation with operations and for the reporting of the Forward Sourcing Activities and KPIs in the project.

You take over the moderation of the End of Life phase of products/articles and participate in the cross-functional supplier selection, development and evaluation.

You introduce forward-sourcing tools and processes, adapt them and optimize them.

You form the technical interface to various Eppendorf stakeholders.

You have completed their studies in the field of BWL/Economic Engineering/allg. Engineering/chemistry/physics or a related area.

You have many years of experience in international procurement / supply chain management and product development.

You have already successfully used well-founded knowledge in purchasing and expertise in the field of forward sourcing/project purchase.

You have many years of professional experience in project management, ideally in agile development and experience in controlling cross-functional activities to optimize material costs for components, assemblies and systems.

You have a pronounced technical understanding, ideally in electronics, polymers or mechanical processing, as well as analytical skills combined with a structured working method.

You have pronounced communication skills and a competent appearance.

You have reliable knowledge of German and English, as well as a readiness to travel to internal and external stakeholders combined with intercultural competencies.
