Accountant / Tax Specialist (m/f/d)

The pension fund of German railways and trams VVaG is a smaller insurance association on reciprocity within the meaning of Section 210 of the Insurance Supervision Act (VAG). It has the purpose of ensuring the retirement of employees of the participating employers (transport and utilities) in addition to the statutory pension insurance. For detailed information please visit www.pkdes.de. PKDES has been using eGecko as a new accounting software as part of the digitalization of work processes since the beginning of 2024. The software offers a wide range of other possibilities that will be used to optimize and simplify the work processes in the future. In the context of this activity, the field of activity in the Finance Department of the Pension Fund is to be efficiently, comfortably designed and aligned with this in the self-initiative and team work. To strengthen our team, we are looking for a qualified account holder / tax specialist (m/w/d). The job is planned as a full-time job with 39 hours a week at the headquarters in Cologne. A reduction of weekly hours to up to 75% is possible. The work is done by an experienced colleague who will work with you in the four-eye principle in the future. Ideally, you bring knowledge of pension funds or insurance.

Annual financial statements according to HGB (Bilanz, GuV) Configuration and booking of all relevant documents in the four-eye principle settlement of payment transactions Implementation of accounts and clarification of accounting matters Management of plant accounting Creation and monitoring of liquidity planning Maher Perspective participation in settlement of securities transactions Cooperation with auditors, tax advisers, actors and external property management Support on topics of controlling Introduction of ideas and suggestions to optimize and implement new electronic work processes In the case of representation, temporary takeover of individual tasks of the daily business

Successfully completed commercial vocational training or comparable vocational training with a focus on accounting or a comparable qualification and/or corresponding study Training required for financial account holder Multiannual experience in accounting (possibly also tax) Secure accounting skills according to HGB sovereign application of MS Office products (Excel, Word, Outlook, Teams) Very high affinity for numbers and analytical thinking High level of responsibility, self-initiative and a structured and solution-oriented working style Impressed quality awareness and service Very good knowledge of German in word and writing; very good oral and written communication skills Lust for development and teamwork
