• Important team tasks: Our compliance team works closely with various departments to meet regulatory requirements. Rate Uniper's global energy business on issues of national and European regulation. Actively review physical and financial raw material transactions such as electricity, natural gas, hydrogen, coal, oil, freight, emissions, green certificates, ammonia and LNG in order to comply with compliance regulations.
• Compliance investigations: Conduct internal investigations and responses to internal and external enquiries in trading compliance (e.g. REMIT II or MAR).
• Implementation of regulations: play a key role in implementing energy market and financial regulation requirements and support special projects.
• Training & Training: Create and present live trainings in the classroom and online training for the front office and support colleagues.
• Contact with regulatory authorities: Communicate with internal and external Uniper stakeholders, government and regulatory authorities and external auditors.
• Development & implementation of directives: establish and implement internal guidelines to prevent legal violations and unethical behaviour.

*Expressed academic background in law or economics or related studies with professional experience in the field of compliance for operational energy trading.

• At least 5 years of experience in advising the Commodity Trading Industry or the banking sector on issues of national and European regulations, in particular in the context of commodity or financial market trading.
• Specific experience in one or more of the following regulatory areas: MiFID II, EMIR, REMIT II, MAR and SFTR.
• Strong attention for details, analytical skills, judgment, enthusiasm and interpersonal skills.
• Good communication skills and team skills.
• Ability to manage multiple initiatives simultaneously in a dynamic, fast-paced, global environment.
• Ability to take over leadership and work independently on all tasks within the job description.
• Ability to interact with all management levels.
• Excellent oral and written English skills are mandatory, German knowledge is desirable.
