Civil Engineer/Architect as Damage Assessor (Leipzig) (m/f/d)

You check incoming damage orders, clarify the scope and documentation requirements, schedule dates/service levels and determine the further action. You carry out on-site inspections, take damages structured and secure a resilient documentation. You clarify causes of damage and the origin of damage, evaluate the extent of damage and derive technically sound recovery paths. You develop clear action recommendations (immediate measures, recovery, risk mitigation) and plausibility time and cost approaches. You will start structured reports/reviews with comprehensible argumentation and management-ready summary for further regulation. You support BU/Business interruption topics through technical classification of causes of downtime and restart/restoration logic, and you deliver work to regression/lift issues. You control and coordinate service providers and participants in the recovery process, maintain quality and appointments and communicate with insurers, brokers, industrial companies and international partners/programmes.

Complete technical studies (Bachelor or Master) e.g. civil engineering, mechanical engineering, utility, industrial engineering or comparable. Multiannual relevant professional experience in technical assessment/auditing (construction, commercial and industrial environment) – ideally in cooperation with insurers, brokers and industrial customers. routine in on-site inspections, structured recovery, documentation/protection as well as Cause clarification and assessment of the extent of damage and recovery paths. Very good written expressiveness: preparation of structured reports/reviews with comprehensible argumentation and clear recommendations. Understanding technical insurance (in particular construction performance and machinery) as well as the ability to classify technical causes/effect chains relevant to insurance and in practice. Technical contribution to BU/Business Interruption: classification of causes of failure, restart/restoration logic and time lines as the basis for BI/BU evaluations. Experience in the management of service providers/restoration measures (quality, dates, progress) and secure, binding communication with all stakeholders – German very good (C1/C2), English safe (mind. B2). Safe handling of Microsoft 365, Power BI is a plus
