Research Group Leader ''Robotics & Intelligent Systems'' (m/f/d)

Responsible takeover of the leadership of a research group. Development-promoting management and scientific support for doctoral students (m/w/d) in the fields of stationary and mobile robotics as well as drone systems. Participation in the acquisition of research projects at national and international level for the further development of the research group. Continuing, building and initiating research cooperation with universities, research institutions and industry in line with the objectives of excellence of the OVGU. Publication of research results at international conferences and in well-respected journals with peer review procedures. Takeover of courses in the fields of robotics, mechatronics and artificial intelligence (teaching presentation 4 SWS).

You have completed scientific higher education (Diplom/Master) with reference to robotics or autonomously operating intelligent systems. Ideally, you are close to the doctorate or have completed your doctorate with an above-average result. Visible and high-quality publications in internationally recognized formats demonstrate their research competence in the fields of robotics & intelligent systems. Proven ability to provide expert support for scientific staff and to pass on your knowledge within the working group. Structured, quiet and independent mode of operation even with high work. Development-promoting, esteeming leadership style. Programming skills in robotics and AI (e.g. in C++ or Python). Experiences in handling ROS 2 are advantageous. Experience in the application of machine learning methods and their embedding in resource-limited real systems (e.g. Reinforcement Learning). Experience in the application of third-party funding projects at national and international level is advantageous. German knowledge in word and writing (corresponding to level C1). Very good knowledge of English in word and writing (level C1).
