Definition, development and development of software architecture for safety-critical platform software for Avionik Equipments Development and documentation of software requirements at complex system and component levels Architecture concepts, designs and interface definitions for ARM-based embedded platforms Technical responsibility for the software architecture over the entire life cycle Coordination of architecture with relevant stakeholders (embedded software development, system engineering, hardware/board development) Definition and harmonisation of interfaces between software components, platform services and hardware Ensuring consistent implementation according to RTCA DO-178C (design, traceability, reviews, architecture artefacts) Close cooperation in multidisciplinary teams and participation in architecture and design reviews Responsibility for planning, coordination, monitoring, control and implementation of development work Participation in supply preparation and support, including technical content and cost assessments Coordination of interdisciplinary development teams and working groups involved in the development Create process-compliant documentation HMS and RTCA/DO-178C Active design and development of platform standards, design guidelines and development processes

Completed study of computer science or comparable degree Multiannual experience in embedded software development or software architecture in Avionics Very good knowledge of C as well as safe handling of ARM architectures (Cortex-A/M, MMU/MPU, interrupt system, memory layout) Funded knowledge of the use of Wind River VxWorks or VxWorks HVP (driver, BSP, scheduling, virtualization) Very good experience in Graphics driver development and integration Experience in creating architectural and design artifacts according to RTCA DO-178C Experience in the field of radar software development Experience with requirements engineering, interface specification and system integration Embossed analytical thinking and ability to clearly illustrate complex technical relationships Communication and coordination strength in dealing with different stakeholders Very good knowledge of German and English
