Head of Controlling - Reporting, BI & Stakeholder Management (m/f/d)

Our client is an internationally operating medium-sized group based in northern Germany. Different business areas and holdings are controlled under a common roof. In the course of further professionalization of the control and reporting structures, the controlling is to be further developed and strategically strengthened.

You take responsibility for controlling at group level. Your demanding task: to raise transparency, control logic and reporting quality to a new level (keyword: Business Intelligence). You see the big whole, identify relationships and translate figures into concrete recommendations for management and the group of companies. Advantage: The majority of the day-to-day operating business is running stable. Thanks to the high-performance accounting, you work on a very good number basis. Their focus is clearly on controlling, controlling and further development.

Building a clearly structured, management-friendly KPI system. You define what is really relevant and create liability. In other words, it is about realignment of reporting. You can direct a central project for the introduction of BI directly for incorporation. Control and technical cooperation of a new reporting/BI tool (in cooperation with an external service provider). You introduce the content logic and ensure sustainable implementation. Assessment of earnings, cash flow and performance indicators at higher level. You recognize patterns, risks and potentials at an early stage. You always have a look at the Big Picture. Regular calls with the subsidiaries (national and international) and Sparring with the management. Active participation in structural changes, strategic projects, M&A or turnaround situations.

Multi-year, well-founded experience in controlling. Ideally in a group of companies or in a complex, decentralized environment. Detectable competence in reporting structuring and KPI development. Good knowledge of Business Intelligence (e.g. Power BI or comparable tools) and experience in the introduction or further development of BI solutions. Ability to strategically interpret numbers and derive clear action options from them. Negotiating English. Ready for occasional missions (national and international).
