In the Mechanics Diesel & Combustion/Abgas/OBD Diesel Vans department, we as the team “Mechanik Motoren und Mandat 6-Zylinder” are responsible for the development, testing and securing of new engines, as well as the serial support of the 4- and 6-cylinder diesel engines from Mercedes-Benz. In our interdisciplinary team, these include both the classic mechanics and the thermal protection of the 6-cylinder overall engine. As part of your mandatory internship, you will be able to participate in the development of new diesel engines. The varied activity offers you a wide range of design freedoms, allows you to get in touch with other specialist departments and is the ideal starting point for entering the automotive industry that is undergoing great change. Your core tasks include: Supporting the planning, parts delivery and support of engine setups Maintenance of test bench motors in continuous operation Participation in the assessment and documentation of test benches or Continuous running motors Coordination and initiation of component tests and parts measurements Development and design of communication documents, reports and presentations Planning and implementation of tests and measurements on engine and component test benches Work, preparation and documentation of vehicle measurements Documentation, discussion and presentation of results in working groups

Studies in mechanical engineering, automotive engineering or comparable studies Secure knowledge of German and English in word and writing Safe handling of MS Office especially Excel Your mode of operation is characterized by independent and structured solution finding and a strong communication character At the same time, you live the team spirit and catch up with your creative thinking Other knowledge: Special knowledge of internal combustion engines, mechanics and materials engineering are desirable, driving licence class B Additional information: Of course, without formalities, we are not.
