The central IT area is responsible within the city administration of Chemnitz as a service provider for the demand-oriented provision of information and communication technology and the implementation of digitalization projects. You complement our specialized GIS team, manage components of the central geodata infrastructure and develop them in a need-oriented and innovative way. Your tasks include: Support and conceptual development of the central geodata infrastructure (GDI), consisting of modern system components and services for data storage, provision, evaluation and presentation Establishment and implementation of data processing processes Development of technologies for data exchange and design of new data flows and processes for quality assurance of processes active support or management of projects to introduce new solutions 2nd and 3rd level support for specific applications of the central GDI platform

Your profile: completed university studies in the field of computer science, business informatics or completed university studies in a geoscientific, mathematical or comparable field with relevant professional experience in the above-mentioned field German language level B2 Of advantage are: Professional experience in the field of computer science practical experience in handling GIS techniques and GIS data structures practical experience in project work What we need: knowledge of geographical information systems (e.g. ArcGIS) and service-oriented architectures as well as data modeling and data processing (e.g. by FME) or willingness to acquire this knowledge Service orientation, analytical thinking, ability to solve problems and teamwork as well as responsibility, reliability and integrity readiness to access in special situations even outside regular service hours and weekends no registration relevant to the body in the management certificate (Please apply only after request!) high level of reliability, integrity, and a service behaviour that ensures a reliable and mandatory performance of tasks in public service
