With Mercedes-Benz AG, the vehicle manufacturer is one of the largest providers of premium and luxury cars and vans. We are looking for an intern* with commitment to supporting our cell technology at Mercedes-Benz. In this position, we offer the opportunity to take over our own project for the development and optimization of our logistics concept. The tasks include the design of an efficient storage system as well as roadway optimization. In addition, a logistics concept for future deliveries from the adjacent new building will be created using: FIFO Principle, KanBan, Supermarket Concept. Since we work mainly with hazardous substances that place special requirements for storage and durability, this internship offers a challenging and valuable experience. Your tasks: Development of a logistics concept for storage and travel routes Construction of interfaces between existing building and new building Optimization of the storage and handling of hazardous materials (first contact points desirable) Implementation of inventory analyses and demand assessments Implementation of supermarket concepts and FIFO principles with Kanban logic Creation of process documentation and reports Cooperation with various departments to ensure a smooth flow chain Education (What can you learn from us): Practical experience in logistics and handling hazardous materials Insights into industrial development projects, especially in cell production Skills for independent project development and implementation Knowledge of storage and inventory management Application of supermarket concepts and FIFO principles with Kanban logic Cooperation and communication with various departments The internship can start from 01. Continuous studies in the field of logistics, industrial engineering, business management or a related subject with evidence of a mandatory internship (3-6 months) Experience in handling MS Office Strong analytical thinking and the ability to understand and optimize complex processes Excellent communication skills to work effectively with different departments High motivation and initiative to develop and implement projects independently Please note that your internship at this site must have a prescribed mandatory share.
