The Wahnbachtalsperrenverband (WTV) supplies drinking water for about 800,000 people in the Bonn/Rhein-Sieg/Ahr region. Chemical Assistant (m/w/d) Part-time/limited for 1.5 years

Water is not the same as water – so that our drinking water is as high quality, it takes many motivated heads – from engineers and laboratory engineers to businessmen for office management and forestry workers to water masters and industrial mechanics. Your duties

• Determination of pH, electrical conductivity and oxygen
• Photometric determination of turbidity and spectral absorption coefficient
• Titrimetric determination of disinfectant residual content
• Sample preparation for the photometric determination of phosphorus and nitrogen compounds with continuous flow analysis (CFA) for nitrate, nitrite, ammonium, orthophosphate and total phosphorus
• Titrimetric determinations of the active substance content in operating chemicals for water treatment and the reaction solutions of the chlorine dioxide plants
• General activities in the field of wet chemistry such as the approach of reagent solutions, implementation and documentation of general quality assurance as well as data collection and documentation in the LIMS (laboratory information and management system)

• Complete vocational training as a chemical laboratory or chemical-technical assistant
