Number: MER0003VDV Our department VAN/EMP stands for VAN Powersystems. We are responsible for the development of low-voltage and high-voltage vehicle line sets as well as the 12V electrical components. We also coordinate the software update management system (SUMS) and functional security for VAN. Current projects in the team are the development of line sets for the fascinating new VAN.EA platform with the aim of supporting electromobility in the VAN through efficient on-board network development while maintaining the ability to integrate alternative drive forms. Our team consists of 10 highly motivated and friendly colleagues who are looking forward to your support. We are smart and always work together for each other, with passion and harmoniously. We are looking for a master thesis in the digital core of the line set development: Introduction to the existing methods for detecting and evaluating the electrical properties of the relevant components and the derivation of suitable circuit diagrams

This is to be achieved: semi-automatic recognition of the change requirements in the respective modules in the case of change measures in the line set Direct allocation of documentation requirements (KEMs), change projects (EC) as well as release status to module numbers Plausibility checks to ensure 100% error-free documentation

AI-methodologies are to be approached in addition to current methods of tool development with the partners of car development or MB RD India

The activity can start from January 2026. The final topics will be discussed with the university, you and us.

Higher education in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Mechatronics or Comparable

Good knowledge of database management and digital methods

High analytical competence and rapid integration into new IT tool worlds

Embossed system understanding and quick detection of relationships

Ideally knowledge of DIALOG, ACM and systems for line set development

User knowledge of Siemens NX or similar CAD environments (e.g. Catia V5)
