Software Ingenieur (m/w/d)

For decades, as a leading system house for marine electronics, we have been supporting marines around the world to make the lake safer. We offer a wide range of services to our customers, including Sonars and Sensors, Guide Systems for submarines and overwater ships, mine defence systems, unmanned underwater vehicles and radio and communication systems.

You are responsible for developing your software components for unmanned (automated and autonomous) systems in C++. You support software specifications, software architectures, test procedures and software components including communication interfaces. As part of an agile and growing team, you develop new and existing components In addition, you actively follow trends in the “Artificial Intelligence”, “Machine Learning” and “Autonomy” field and introduce new ideas. You support the processing of national and international research projects and work on the latest trends in maritime autonomy You integrier and test your software on our test vehicles in our ATLAS lake.

You have a successfully completed study preferably of computer science, software engineering, computer science or mathematics. You’ve already gained available experience in the field of “Autonomy”, “Guidance”, “Obstacle Avoidance” (2D/3D), SDF or similar topics in the context of AUVs. A well-founded understanding of how to use tool-based software development under common operating systems (Microsoft Windows, Linux) and the application of approaches to artificial intelligence (Neuronal Networks, Deep Learning, etc.) are a feature. You are passionate about modern software development: Clean Code and Software-Craftsmanship are familiar to you and you use it regularly. As an experienced developer, you bring very good implementation capabilities in at least one high language and experience in the areas of design, testing, build(CMake) and/or continuous integration of software (CI) - preferentially with GitLab. Representative team and communication skills are your strengths as well as the ability to present and convey your work results to different target groups in German and English. Experience with underwater navigation would be an additional plus point. Local national and international missions will give you pleasure.
