The Fraunhofer Center for Maritime Logistics and Services CML is a research institution of the Fraunhofer-Gesellschaft. In practical research and development projects, we support private and public contractors from the areas of port, terminal, shipping and logistics services in the initiation and realization of innovations. We develop and optimize processes and systems along the maritime supply chain. As a reinforcement for our management team in Hamburg - Harburg, we are looking as a project controller*in for a reliable, communicative and networked thinking personality that also keeps an overview in turbulent situations. What you do with us

• Commercial support and processing of publicly funded national and international projects and industrial projects
• Own-responsible billing of industrial projects and public contracts and monitoring of payment transactions
• Supporting the scientific project leaders as a commercial respondent, in particular for issues of supply creation, costing, and for controlling and monitoring the project resources
• Creation of cost-relevant evaluations and consulting of the Fraunhofer CML executives
• Participation in the accounts and financial statements
• Support for personnel deployment planning and booking in SAP

What you bring

• Completed studies of economics or completed vocational training in the commercial or administrative sector, as an alternative a comparable qualification with the focus on finance and controlling
• Professional experience in a comparable position, ideally in a research institution
• Excellent numerical understanding and very good analytical thinking
• Strategic thinking in overarching contexts with a clear view for operational needs
• Secure handling of MS Office programs (especially Excel) and ERP systems (preferably SAP)
• Valuable communication style, a clear, appropriate writing style in German and English as well as a high degree of empathy
• Team orientation, reliability, readiness to learn and enthusiasm
