Network Engineer Data Services (m/f/d)

Translating and securing the complete lifecycle of customer premises equipment (CPE) in the data environment (Ethernet and Internet/VPN) for business customers Analyze and evaluate effects on CPE hardware and firmware used with regard to end-of-life scenarios and security issues (IST/SOLL analysis) Rate Common Vulnerabilities and Exposures (CVEs) on relevance for existing solutions and products deriving the technical need for action and performing quality and acceptance tests in the Versatel own test laboratory using the XRAY tool Identify and define suitable CPE succession models and define SOLL firmware releases Developing the CPE release dashboard to optimally support lifecycle management further development and automation of CPE testing Design and define requirements for the test laboratory environment Optimize release and lifecycle processes Documenting technical content

Complete technical engineering master studies or comparable technical training Found knowledge and practical experience in configuration of Data-CPEs on OSI-Layer 2 and 3, ideally with manufacturers such as Cisco, RAD, Ekinops and Lancom Experience in the automation environment as well as in scripting, e.g. with Ansible, Python or comparable technologies Embossed conceptual skills as well as analytically structured thinking, coupled with self-initiative, target orientation and enforcement capability Structured, team-oriented and conscientious working Ideally professional experience in the telecommunications industry Very good German knowledge (at least C1 level) and good English skills
