Number: MER0003YHY Our department is the competence center for in-house software development of driving functions on the central drivetrain control unit (Central Driving and Charging Controller - CDCC). This software is used in all Mercedes-Benz, AMG and VAN series and forms the basis for the performance and safety of our vehicles. Our team develops and implements key functions for the drivetrain, in particular for handling fault situations. We design and implement so-called fault replacement reactions (''Limp Home Reactions''). These intelligent systems ensure that our customers experience maximum vehicle availability even in the event of malfunctions in the drive train, while at the same time ensuring the protection of passengers and components. For this purpose, we continuously analyze the signals of all components in the drive train (e.g. motor, transmission, battery or e-machine/starter) in order to identify limitations. Based on the overall state of the drive train, we then initiate appropriate measures to keep the vehicle safe and functional. These challenges include: Development of a test concept in a software in the Loop (SiL) environment
Further development of application aids with Python for evaluating the error replacement reactions
