At the next time, we are looking for an IoT Engineer (m/w/d) for our TES team for our Hamburg-Bahrenfeld location in full or part time.

Technology Enabled Solutions (TES) is responsible for Zeppelin Power Systems for the collection, processing and provision of engine and plant data in various applications such as marine, rail vehicles, industry and power & heat generation. With our holistic solution we enable the administration of the entire fleet and full transparency in the field. Our goal is to provide our customers with valuable insights into engine performance, environmental conditions and more.

Optimization of communication protocols and data transmission technologies

Ensure the safety, scalability and efficiency of applications

Integration of hardware components and implementation of interfaces

Connecting and managing the AWS IoT cloud platform

Automation of processes and management of infrastructure as code (IaC)

Support as technical contact in the field

THE WHICH WE UNS Complete study of computer science, electrical engineering, mechatronics or a comparable qualification

Multiannual experience in developing IoT and embedded systems

Knowledge of embedded hardware and deep know-how in Linux (Kernel Development, Bootloader Configuration, Shell Scripting)

Very good knowledge of programming languages such as Python C, C++ or Java

Experience in optimizing compression and transmission protocols

Practical knowledge in cloud technologies, preferably AWS

Safe handling of infrastructure as code (IaC), ideally terraform

Structured and analytical methods with a pronounced problem-solving competence

Communication strength, team spirit and willingness to work in the field
