Over 1,800 employees provide approximately 80,000 patients each year in 22 specialist centres and three day clinics. The focus is on neurology, neurosurgery, child and youth medicine, vascular and thorax surgery as well as psychiatry. The clinic is a teaching hospital at the University of Kiel and operates its own educational centre with around 200 apprentices.
