In this position you are responsible for the stable, secure and fully documented operation of a large-scale video surveillance platform with over 1,000 cameras based on Genetec. This includes the support of the underlying IT, server and network infrastructure in a safety-critical environment Operation & maintenance Operation, monitoring and maintenance of a high-availability video surveillance system (Genetec) Ensuring system availability and performance of all video streams Analysis and sustainable troubleshooting (2nd level support) IT & Network Infrastructure Support of the network environment (LAN / WAN / VLAN) for cameras and servers Network level error search (routing, switching, multicast, bandwidth) Close cooperation with network administrators and external service providers Server & Virtualization Administration of virtual server environments (e.g. VMware, Hyper-V) Operation, monitoring and optimization of the video servers Resource Management (CPU, RAM, Storage, I/O) Windows & Directory Services Active Directory Administration (users, groups, permissions) Management of WSUS servers (patch and update management) Maintenance and operation of Windows server systems Updates & documentation Planning, implementation and validation of system and software updates (OS, firmware, Genetec) Testing of updates in close coordination with ongoing operation Complete technical documentation of all changes Creation of operating, fault and system documentation Security & Compliance Implementation and compliance with IT security policies Care of role, rights and access concepts Support for audits, audits and
