Direct entry:Professional/-r Master or graduate preferably with university degree or master degree or equivalent university degree in an engineering science with high affinity for the fields of transport and rail transport as well as with at least two years of relevant professional practice in accordance with the conditions mentioned on the information pages (see link under “Application”). Other subject-related university degrees (e.g. Bachelor, FH Diploma) can also be examined for recognition. From 8 September 2025 onwards, they can be hired as a so-called direct starter with full employment, with allowances. You will receive a vocational training in the first two years. Within the framework of the civil service regulations, after three years there is the possibility of beaming. In the case of childcare, care for dependent or severely handicapped persons, extended part-time may be agreed in the two-thirds model for the qualifying phase upon application.
