System Architect Electronics (m/f/d)

You design and develop the technical architecture of electronic hardware systems. As part of your active development activity, you will make sound architectural decisions, design circuit parts and advise our developer teams on circuit design, layout and verification. You define internal standards for the design and verification of electronic components, in particular circuit parts, and ensure compliance with high quality requirements. The evaluation and selection of suitable technologies and components, from power supply and power electronics to microprocessor systems with embedded Linux and high-speed storage connection, are among your tasks. You assume the technical responsibility for sensors, including imaging sensors, and for associated optics. In close cooperation with the management of electronics development, you will participate in cost estimates, budget planning and cost-effectiveness analyses. You present technical concepts and evaluations in a clear and comprehensible manner – also for non-specialised stakeholders – and take into account technical requirements and costs (stack list, development, lifecycle). You work closely with the fields of mechanics, software, purchasing and quality to ensure smooth system integration. You bring your expertise into the technical roadmap and actively participate in strategic technology decisions.

A completed study in the field of physics, electrical engineering, mechatronics or a comparable degree course is the basis of your qualification. You bring relevant professional experience in electronics hardware development and system architecture. You have a pronounced hands-on mentality and sound methodological knowledge in the areas of design, simulation and verification of electronic systems. You have a well-founded knowledge of analogue and digital circuit technology as well as EMC-compliant design for SELV and low-voltage systems. You have experience in dealing with methods for risk assessment of electronic systems and in creating sound cost estimates. Ideally, you have experience in the development of electronic sensor technology, measurement technology or analytics. Your strong analytical thinking skills and your conceptual understanding of technical contexts are a feature. Your communication strength and team capacity allow you to work effectively across department boundaries. An independent, structured and team-oriented way of working is of course for you. Your profile is rounded off by good German and very good English skills.
