In Public Affairs and Communication, we understand ourselves as the communicative heart of the HPA. Internal, external and political themes are collaborating and strategically developed. We actively shape the positioning of the HPA and introduce our own impulses and ideas. As a central interface to politics and the public, we are in close cooperation with political, economic and social actors and accompany strategically relevant topics for the Port of Hamburg.

You take over the disciplinary and professional leadership of your two teams Public Affairs and Communication. In your role, you develop the strategic orientation of the unit and control it through clear targets. Your tasks include the development of key topics and concrete measures, as well as the definition of common positions to represent HPA interests in the political sphere. You are advising the Executive Board, the Spartenleitungs and Departments for Communication in Political Space. In addition, you accompany communication in selected projects and develop HPA-wide quality standards for project communication. With your expertise, you also continuously develop the HPA communication strategy and develop an overall concept including: Social Media activities and website.

You have a degree from the field of political/communication, economics or a comparable discipline. As an experienced leadership, you have been developing teams with joy and great success for years. Due to your experience, you have very good practical knowledge in dealing with political bodies and decision-makers as well as with interest groups. In your previous roles, you have successfully managed strategic projects and advanced strategy implementation. Ideally, you have a strong understanding of the maritime industry, port operations and themes of logistics. You can easily adjust yourself to various interlocutors and communicate safely in German and English. Your profile is rounded off by your enforcing and your diplomatic skills.
