The Scheuern Foundation, based in Nassau (Rhein-Lahn-Kreis), is a diaconically shaped, non-profit foundation of bourgeois law. Since 1850, it has been supporting people with mental disabilities, mental illness or acquired brain damage with a wide range of housing, education, work and support services. The foundation is managed by a three-member board consisting of a theological, educational and a commercial board. On March 1, 2027 we are looking for an experienced and convincing personality as:

Generally responsible spiritual leadership of the foundation and further development of its diaconic profile. Responsibility for theological, ethical and socio-political positions of the Foundation. Responsibility for value-oriented personnel development. Responsibility for public relations and fundraising. Representation of the Foundation in Church, Diaconia, public and relevant networks. Theological discovery of strategic decisions in the Board of Management. Care and further development of the living Christian values in the organization, including devotion, worship and ecclesiastical rituals, which belong firmly to the culture of the institution. Ensure the content of the Foundation's mandate and the Statute. Active participation in economic decision-making processes and strategic further development of the company together with the educational and commercial management board as well as with employee representatives, workshop council and local representatives.

Ordination as a pastor*in a church of the Evangelical Church in Germany (EKD) or comparable qualification. Multiannual leadership and management experience, ideally in a diaconic, ecclesiastical or social context. Impressed capacity to represent Christian and diaconic values credible and to translate them into organizational culture. A well-founded understanding of economic contexts and willingness to take account of decisions taken from a business perspective. High sense of responsibility, strength of decision and joy in strategic and conceptual work. Communication strength and the ability to connect and motivate people – both within the foundation and in its environment. willingness to represent the foundation in regional, ecclesiastical and social networks inward and outward.
