As head of the “Working, Environmental and Object Protection” unit, you play a central role in ensuring a secure, sustainable and legally compliant operation of PTB at the Braunschweig site. Together with your interdisciplinary team of around 40 employees, you develop strategies and measures in the fields of occupational, environmental and object protection, manage their implementation and drive their continuous development. Your tasks include: Leadership and Strategy Technical and disciplinary management of the Department of Industrial, Environmental and Object Protection Strategic development of the areas of work, environmental and object protection Defining technical priorities and controlling and coordinating the corresponding work programmes Advising the management level and developing recommendations for action, guidelines and guidelines for the PTB Industrial safety Safeguarding the legal implementation of occupational safety requirements Perception of supervisory and control tasks and further development of existing occupational safety measures Participation in the planning of construction and scientific experimental equipment under occupational safety Environment Participation in the development and implementation of sustainable strategies for property Responsibility for professional disposal and disposal as well as for the organisation of the care and cleaning of buildings Technical support and further development of the environmental management system (EMAS) Object protection Control of security and security services Participation in the creation and development of safety concepts Safeguarding the safety of buildings Administration and resource management Responsibility for planning, controlling and controlling the budget of the unit Examination of requirements and preparation of technical documentation for procurement and procurement procedures in consultation with the competent authorities

Completed studies (Bachelor or FH diploma) in the field of environmental engineering, sustainable engineering, environmental protection technology or comparable Multiannual experience in the leadership of interdisciplinary teams Experience in the application and implementation of legal requirements Experience in the development of strategic and conceptual planning Funded knowledge of budgetary and procurement law Experience in process management and process optimization Embossed communication and presentation techniques High level of commitment, responsibility and decision-making German (C2 level) and English (B2 level) Physical suitability for construction sites As part of the selection process, you will pass through an assessment centre in which we assess your skills and competencies with regard to the requirements for the leadership in the PTB. It is a management position which, depending on the personal requirements, is initially transferred in a limited period up to a total duration of two years.
