The AI Assurance and Assessment department develops and implements powerful and marketable AI testing methods, methods and tools to make AI systems safe and trustworthy. Thus, we make an important contribution to shaping the use of future technology Artificial Intelligence legally and in accordance with our social values.
Our research results provide new methods to ensure security and trustworthiness systematically along the AI life cycle and to make this visible to third parties. Our current research focuses on the operationalisation of the European AI regulation. Our customers include globally active technology companies, authorities, DAX 40 companies, consultancy companies as well as middle traders and start-ups.
We are looking for you as an expert (m/w/d) for AI governance if you want to shape the framework conditions for a trusted use of AI.
What you do with us
- Expert for AI governance: Be at the forefront of implementing trusted AI by analyzing regulatory requirements (including AI-VO), standards (e.g. ISO, DIN) and guidelines (e.g. the EU Commission AI Office) and preparing them as a basis for AI testing and certification processes.
- Implementing Regulation: You translate regulatory requirements and standards into practice. You design and develop processes for building an AI governance, e.g. for risk and quality management. In close cooperation with an interdisciplinary project team consisting of data scientists, natural scientists, lawyers and psychologists, the EU-KI regulation is implemented technically and organizationally with renowned industrial customers.
- Developerin of automation solutions: As a professional partnerin, you design automation solutions for AI governance and implement them in existing business processes, for example in AI development or procurement
- Trainer for AI Literacy: You promote knowledge transfer in the fields of AI governance, risk and compliance and, after successful incorporation, take part in the Fraunhofer IAIS training program for AI literature, in particular with regard to AI regulation and its implementation
- Head of work packages or projects: You take the professional responsibility for work pacts/projects, ensure delivery and coordinate with different stakeholders
What you bring
- Complete academic studies (Master, Diploma) of economic, legal, political sciences or computer science, physics or mathematics with excellent degree at a university with international reputation
- Knowledge in the fields of Data Science, Machine Learning and Artificial Intelligence, to be demonstrated by studies, professional experience or certificates
- Ideally, prior knowledge in the field of the European AI regulation and existing standards in the field of AI, to be demonstrated by study services, professional experience or certificates
- Ideal knowledge of areas such as risk management, compliance, data protection, IT security, audit or quality management of products to demonstrate through professional experience
- Excellent analytical skills, pleasure in abstract thinking and conceptual work
- High efficiency and durability as well as the willingness to work quickly into new situations
