Road trees and the road accompanying green have an outstanding significance for climate adaptation and promotion of biodiversity in the urban area. In one of the six local maintenance districts of the Baureferat (Gartenbau) you are responsible for all tasks relating to road trees and support the introduction of the digital tree disaster. You also ensure traffic safety by reliably organizing and initiating tree checks and necessary care measures. The development of the tree stock is promoted by applying the requirements of the urban tree development concept and by designing site improvements in tree plantings. In addition, you will plan and implement measures to promote biodiversity in the road accompanying green. The ongoing maintenance of the biotope and compensatory areas also falls within your competence.
