For an internationally active, traditional industrial company with several thousand employees, we are looking for a buyer (m/w/d) in the purchase of projects with a focus on electronics. The company develops and manufactures technically sophisticated products and systems for different applications in mechanical engineering and combines industrial manufacturing with modern electronics and digitalization.

Responsibility for the purchase of electronic components – from the first idea to the possible standard maturity Identification and development of appropriate national and international suppliers Purchasing of sensors, measuring and testing technology, circuit boards, electronic assemblies and other electronic components Close cooperation with development, design, quality, production and other areas of expertise Collection, comparison and evaluation of offers and preparation and implementation of price, quantity and appointment negotiations Evaluation of suppliers in terms of quality, cost, technology, delivery capability and future serial capability Accompanying from sampling, prototypes and pre-series to possible series acquisition Building and maintenance of international supplier relations Multiannual professional experience in purchasing / purchasing projects, ideally about 5 years or more

Experience in international shopping and joy in cooperation with suppliers worldwide Experience gained with electronic components, assemblies or technical products – as an alternative a technical training or a study with corresponding electronics/electrotech background Technical understanding and ability to work in drawings, lists, specifications and technical requirements Experience in purchasing prototypes, sample parts, development components or technically sophisticated components is advantageous German and good knowledge of English Safe appearance to suppliers and internal contact persons Independent, structured and solution-oriented mode of operation
