Scientific Librarian (m/f/d)

In this central function, you are responsible for the entire development, organization and operation of the library service – in the construction phase as well as in later control operation, including budget control and process management Establishing the necessary IT systems and digital services and developing the service portfolio in close coordination with the scientific and administrative departments Research and evaluation of conventional and electronic information media and research tools Acquisition, licensing and provision of media, tools and platforms (mainly digital) needed, including systematization and cataloging Construction of open access and FDM services as well as consulting and training offers

Qualification and professional experience Completed studies (Master) in library and information science or scientific studies with additional library education Professional experience, preferably in scientific libraries Experience in journal management and the management of electronic resources Knowledge of library management, licensing and copyright Experience in knowledge transfer, such as training, workshops and consulting services Knowledge of the scientific research process and in electronic publishing, in particular in the field of open access

Knowledge and skills High service orientation and communication skills as well as pleasure in cross-departmental cooperation Self-employed, meticulous and goal-oriented Very good analytical and conceptual skills strategic thinking, team skills and organisational skills Very good knowledge of German and English in word and writing
