THE ROLE & THE TEAM As a logistics worker*in with truck driver license CE (m/w/d) at our new location in Gießen, you drive our transfer vehicles (Wiesel) and put bridges on our yard to ensure a smooth run at the goods receipt and goods exit. As a link between our transport specialists and drivers of international freight forwarders, you coordinate tons of goods from all over the world – without travel. Your work is characterized by a motivating team spirit based on appreciation, respect and openness. Together with your team, you are working on the achievement of day-to-day operational targets as well as improving processes. Take care of our Wiesel. With your defensive driving mode, you will always ensure a safe and proper working environment.

Depending on the driving order, you move interchangeable bridges from international transport service providers to the gates and remove them in time.

Load pallets as well as packages into the truck and, if necessary, support colleagues from other departments. With your curiosity and openness, you will learn more processes in Zalando logistics.

Be an example to your colleagues by doing your tasks effectively and with high quality awareness.

You have a CE-class truck driver's license, are safe in handling large machines and you are characterized by a careful driving style.

You have experience in handling transfer vehicles.

Your focus on occupational safety and occupational safety standards is your top priority. You are always a model for your colleagues both in handling the machines and in your driving style.

You want to work in the 3-shift system (full time, 40 hours per week) on 5 days from Monday to Saturday.

You feel comfortable in an international environment. Your good German language skills in word and writing simplify communication in the team.

If you additionally speak English, Arabic, Russian, Polish, Bulgarian or Romanian, communication with international drivers is even easier.

LOCATION

Our European logistics network is growing: we are currently in the preparatory phase for the opening of our new site in Gießen (Hessen), which is just an hour away from Frankfurt am Main. The 130,000 square meter logistics centre is operated by Zalando and is designed for up to 1,700 employees. From this location, 2026 customers in Germany and neighbouring markets will receive their packages from summer. Our logistics staff ensure that more than 50 million Zalando customers receive their orders reliably every day in more than 25 European markets. Zalando now has a Europe-wide logistics network with twelve locations in seven countries. In Germany alone, around 6,000 employees from over 100 nations work at four Zalando logistics locations. .
