The area of social protection of Hansestadt Lübeck is a central point of contact for social justice, social participation and existential protection. We design and coordinate a wide range of social services – from basic security, help to care and homeless help. the management of the social security sector with product, budget and personnel responsibility for currently around 300 employees in nine departments

the strategic orientation and further development of the designated performance fields as well as the control of the operational performance against the background of the legal foundations and budget requirements

personnel management with management of personnel planning, personnel production, personnel use and personnel development

the monitoring and support of an external organisational investigation, if necessary continuous implementation of the results

Budgeting and financial management of a budget of approximately EUR 254 million a year (in the context of the powers conferred on an area management)

the representation of management, policy, institutions and citizens:

the representation of the Hanseatic City of Lübeck in matters of social protection against the Land of Schleswig-Holstein and the municipal regional associations

a completed academic degree (Diplom (University), Master or Magister) of the Department of Administration, Legal, Social Sciences, Social Management or a closely related degree course alternative: for officials the career qualification for the category 2, second entry office of the General Services ('higher service')

proven knowledge and ideally practical experience in financial and quality management and organisational and personnel development
