Head of Department Metal Production (m/f/d)

Full management of the production organization including motivation, development and performance management of the executives and teams Ensuring efficient work organisation taking into account work security, quality, delivery performance and costs Responsibility for budget, cost structure and investments including business cases and economic considerations Requirement and application-oriented personnel deployment and shift planning as well as building a flexible, qualified staff pool Ensuring high plant availability through structured maintenance and maintenance strategies Further development of the machine park and implementation of technical improvements and automation measures Controlling the production via key figures (including OEE, OTIF, throughput) and deriving effective measures Establishing an effective shopfloor management including daily control communication and sustainable problem solving Consistent introduction and further development of Lean methods (5S, PDCA, Gemba, SMED, VSM) Close cooperation with SCM, quality, technology and factory management to ensure smooth end-to-end processes Active project management in strategic initiatives (e.g. material or process changes)

Your role: In this key position, you are responsible for the operational and strategic management of a metal-processing production area of the following production disciplines combined in one piece: Machining machines Stamping and forming Galvanic surface finishing With more than 70 employees in three-layer operation, you actively shape structures, processes and culture and consistently drive efficiency, quality and safety in a metal-processing series production. An experienced management personality with demonstrable earnings responsibility (P&L), which combines operational proximity with systematic further development, is sought.

Complete studies in engineering, production engineering or comparable qualification Multiannual, detectable leadership experience in the metalworking industry with relevant team size Clear leadership, enforcement strength and high communication and team skills Analytical, structured, decision-making – with the need to measurably improve things Experience with Result and P&L Management in a Production Environment Deep understanding of metal processing processes (cutting, punching/forming, electroplating) Knowledge of production control, work preparation and value flow logic Safe handling of variant variety, setup optimization and material flow-oriented production concepts Practical experience with Lean Production and Shopfloor Management Secure handling of ERP systems (SAP-R3/S4-Hana) and MS Office Very good German and good English skills
