We are looking for a:n Professor:in (W2) for the faculty of mobility and technology Control technology (number MT-P-2502)

Your tasks include teaching and research as well as the support of student works and young scientists in our three courses of study electrical engineering, vehicle systems and vehicle engineering. They provide, for example, the modelling of control distances and the design of controllers for various control procedures and enable students to apply this knowledge in various technical fields of application. By concrete examples, you will show how controllers are implemented according to the current state of the art. In laboratories, students are guided by practical exercises to deepen the learned knowledge. Lectures on the basis of measurement technology and from neighbouring areas of engineering are also part of your field of activity. Within the framework of study projects, graduates and research activities, there is the possibility to inspire students more deeply for these topics and their application in electrical engineering and in vehicle engineering.

Practical experience in the field of control technology (modeling, control design and implementation) in the automotive environment or comparable areas Basic expertise in measuring technology Complete university studies, pedagogical aptitude, ability to work scientifically (usually confirmed by a doctorate) and 5 years of professional experience, of which 3 years outside the HS field (§ 47 Landeshochschulgesetz BW) The ability to hold courses in German and English Willingness to take over (basic) lectures in professionally adjacent areas at our locations Willingness to contribute to the academic self-government and further development of the faculty and the university
