The SOS-Kinderdorf e.V. is a renowned aid organisation and a free, non-profit institution of child and youth assistance with 38 facilities throughout the federal territory and around 5,200 employees.

The SOS-Hof Bockum (in the district of Lüneburg) is an institution for the social and professional integration of adult people with mental impairment. For about 100 people there are differentiated offers for assistance in housing and work opportunities in the recognised workshop for disabled people.

In your role as Head of Housing, you take responsibility for our home communities and actively shape their development. Together with a dedicated team, you are responsible for the accompaniment of 43 people aged 18 to 88. The different life stories, needs, skills and wishes of our cared for people make your area of responsibility as diverse as the people themselves. Your goal is to create framework conditions in which a professional and value-assurance accompaniment succeeds, and our cared for people can live as self-determined as possible and perceive their individual development possibilities. Your tasks include: You take the professional and personal leadership of your team and promote your employees in their individual development. You control the key educational processes in your living areas and ensure a need-oriented, staff-centric accompaniment. You implement our protection concept responsibly and ensure a consistent protection of the profession. You are responsible for the organizational and economic management of your area and keeps budget, human resources and occupancy in mind. You work trustfully with members, legal representations, service providers and other cooperation partners. Together with the management team, you will ensure and develop our technical standards and the quality of our offers. You actively contribute your ideas and experiences to the educational and strategic development of the entire institution.

You have a relevant university degree, e.g. in social education or education or social sciences or medical education; systemic additional training is advantageous. You bring leadership motivation, sense of responsibility and reflection; first line experience is desirable. You are convinced by self-control, decision-making and eagerness to design and use spaces of action with your own initiative. You have a strong social and communication skills and promote an appreciation of each other and a constructive error culture. You recognize strengths and development potentials of your employees and enjoy promoting and accompanying them. In contact with the supervised people, you will be drawn by a professional and reflected approach to proximity and distance. Knowledge of the legal framework of integration aid is desirable. You have a pleasure in a meaningful leadership task where you can take responsibility and move something together with others.
