As a road construction agency, we are responsible for the complete value chain of road construction and take care of mobility strategies, planning, construction, road operation and traffic management. The planning and construction department deals with the planning, construction and maintenance of federal roads, national roads and cycle routes. From the demand determination of a new road to surveying, preliminary draft, approval and execution planning to construction and conservation. Furthermore, the department is responsible for the new construction and maintenance of numerous engineering structures, such as tunnels or bridges, as well as the coordination of national care, immission protection and drainage planning. In order to strengthen the department “Construction and soil testing, road conservation and disposal management” we are looking for a / one for our Wetzlar office at the next possible time: Werkstudent (w/m/d) of the Department of Civil Engineering What tasks are waiting for you in the Baustoff- und Bodenprüfung department, road maintenance and disposal management? You will be offered a very varied activity with a high degree of practicality within the framework of building repairs. In the field of construction engineering structures, you will learn in theory and practice the area of responsibility from the examination of a building, through the creation of a repair concept to the technical assistance of the measure during execution. You are part of a team that takes you to the hand and takes step by step to the tasks, but also lets you go boldly. Your tasks include: Planning and application of destructive and non-destructive methods of building diagnostics for the causes of significant damage images in bridge structures Participation in the organisation, implementation and monitoring of external services and audits at the building and in the concrete laboratory Evaluation and assessment of the results of the investigation as well as preparation of project-related opinions, e.g. as a basis for concrete repair according to ZTV-ING and TR maintenance Implementation of structural studies and quality control tests Sampling and evaluation of laboratory results for waste assessment of waste materials including Acquisition of sampling certificate according to PN 98
