Civil Engineer Constructive in Quay Wall Projects

The Technical Division (TD) is responsible for the planning, construction, operation and maintenance of the core harbour infrastructure, including around 600 employees. We offer a wide range of technical engineering expertise and comprehensive technical and project management services. In the Infrastructure Projects department, we plan and build new infrastructure projects in the port. In project teams, engineers from different disciplines are currently approx. 20 interesting projects (e.g. construction structures such as quay walls).

Our heart beats for the Port of Hamburg, which connects us! You plan and tax challenging quay wall projects and keep an eye on economic and ecological aspects. You coordinate engineering tasks and planning – both internally and externally – and ensure smooth coordination. The preparation of the required approval procedures – in particular plan setting procedures – is your responsibility. You set up tender documents independently and take over the award and billing of planning and construction contracts. When monitoring the construction measures, you actively participate, take over the coordination and agree closely with users, participating companies and other HPA units.

You have a completed degree (uni/master) of the field of civil engineering with a deepening of constructive engineering - as far as possible engineering water engineering - or comparable knowledge and experience. Ideally, you already have professional experience in the planning and implementation of construction measures and have knowledge in building. Knowledge or experience in harbour or quay wall construction are of advantage - alternatively you bring the motivation to work into this special area. Your independent and self-sponsored way of working as well as your team skills are yours. You have a convincing communication capability and can clearly and comprehensiblely convey technical requirements in the context of intensive port use.
