IT System Administrator - Infrastructure / IT Security (m/f/d)

You further manage and develop our virtualization environment (VMware vSphere, Hyper-V) to ensure high availability and stable performance. You are responsible for patch management for our systems and coordinate the change and release processes in coordination with the departments. You maintain the central antivirus/EDR solution and work closely with our Security Operations Center (SOC) in security incidents. You design and operate our backup solution, perform regular restore tests and continuously develop disaster recovery strategies. You contribute to the planning and implementation of projects in the data center and optimize our operating processes through targeted standardization and automation.

You have a degree in computer science, an IT training (e.g. as a specialist:in) or a comparable qualification with relevant professional experience. You bring well-founded practice in the administration of IT infrastructures, in particular in virtualization (e.g. VMware, Hyper-V) and in operation of Windows and Linux servers. You are familiar with central IT security topics such as patch management, antivirus/EDR and backup concepts – experience in the SOC environment is a clear plus. You have good knowledge of network technology and monitoring. Ideally, you will also bring know-how in automation with script languages (e.g. PowerShell, Bash). Your structured and analytical work will help you to act service-oriented in the team and also solve complex problems. You communicate safely in German (C1 level) and bring good English skills to work with technical documentation.
